hospitality / coffee shop

Hospitality - During our main services and occasional special events, we like to offer refreshments. As part of this team, you would be involved in the set-up, serving, and clear-up of the refreshments. Full training will be given.

coffee shop - working as part of the team making drinks in our coffee shop, where all proceeds go to our missions department.help with customer service or become a fully trained barista.

hosting / welcome team

Hosting - If you are friendly, helpful and love meeting new people, this is the team for you. Our hosts help our main Sunday mornings and special events run smoothly. This includes being on hand to help people to their seats, dealing with general enquires about facilities, or distributing communion and helpful information. Full training will be given.

Welcome Team - As part of this team, you will be helping new people to connect with COM Church. We have a Welcome Team table with information about the Church and what it offers. So, if you are enthusiastic, friendly and helpful this could be the team for you.

com kids / creche

children's ministry – At COM Church our children are so important to us. Our team members teach and support the children during our main Sunday service in either COM KIDS or Sunbeams (toddlers). You might be getting crafty one week, AND singing silly songs the next, all wrapped with great Bible teaching. DBS required

CRECHE - help look after the youngest members of the Com church family, so that parents are able to engage fully in the service. dbs required..

com youth

our youth ministry involves working with our amazing young people; teaching, supporting and generally loving life. This could be during our main Sunday service or mid-week activities. DBS required.

praise & worship team

At COM Church we love those who worship in spirit and in truth. those on the worship team serve on a rotational basis and are required to attend the weeknight rehearsal on the weeks in which they are scheduled. Experience playing/singing in a live setting is preferred. an audition will be held.

words/ audio visual & sound

words/ audio visual- a vital part of the service, you will need to be fully alert On the media team. you will be responsible for operating the ProPresenter software on the mac, to put up song lyrics, videos and sermon slides. In this role you'll need to be tech savvy, be able to think on your feet and have a good recollection of the songs we sing on a Sunday. Full training will be given.

Sound - As part of the sound team, you would be given specific training for our digital mixing console and extensive PA system. If you have an ear for where the instruments should sit in the mix and a technical brain, then this may be the position for you!

security/fire marshalls

Security - This role is either sitting at the entrance of our children's work venue during the main Sunday morning services, ensuring the safety of the children (DBS required); or sitting in the front foyer during the service so that we are aware of who is entering the building at all times.

fire marshalls - you will be responsible for one of the building’s fire escapes, checking escape routes prior to the service and then positioned by the fire exit during the meeting, ready to evacuate in the event of an emergency. full training will be given.

cameras & content creation

cameras / stream director - our sunday services are streamed live on youtube. this requires a team manning our cameras and a director to cut between the various camera shots and produce a great experience for those watching online. Full training will be provided.

content creation - The content creation team captures content live on Sundays for social media, Focusing on photography and video to engage, encourage and inspire.
